The Diabetes Prevention Program Community Health Specialist will be a Lifestyle Coach implementing a CDC-approved curriculum designed for preventing or delaying type 2 diabetes. Successful applicants should be passionate about community health and helping people live the best quality of life they can, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable presenting in a small classroom environment to adults over 18. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Travel throughout the six-county region (Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma) is expected.

A public health nurse is an integral part of community-based nursing, providing direct services and performing professional and administrative work in assigned programs within the Department. Core public health clinical services and education will be provided in areas such as immunizations, reproductive health, and communicable disease prevention and control. This position requires a nursing degree (ADN or BSN) from an accredited college/university. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Travel throughout the six-county region (Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma) is expected.
